Talkback is a desktop app which allows viewers to audio chat with broadcasters live on stream. It provides a new way for viewers to support their favourite streamer as each audio chat asks that the viewer donate Axons.
What are Axons?
Axons are credits used by Cortellum apps.
Does it cost anything to join a Talkback queue?
Yes. Each time you join a Talkback queue, it will cost 2 Axons.
How does Talkback work?
As a caller, you need to download and install the Talkback caller client. Then sign-in using your Twitch login and purchase Axons from within the Talkback client. Once you have Axons, you can find your broadcaster by searching their Twitch name/channel. From there, select how many Axons you wish to donate and join the queue. The broadcaster can see a list of all viewer usernames in their queue and it will be up to the broadcaster when/if they take the call.
If you're the chosen one then your Axon transaction will be completed and your donation sent. The call will then commence.
REMEMBER TO TURN DOWN YOUR STREAM VOLUME. Twitch streams have a delay, so if you don't turn your stream volume down you will create some mad audio feedback and RIP everyone's ears.
As a streamer, how do I broadcast the conversation?
The viewer's voice will come in to your default audio input device (e.g. your headset). As long as this device is set as an audio source in your streaming software then any incoming calls will be streamed.
Will you be adding new features as time goes on?
Absolutely, we're constantly receiving feedback from both streamers and users as we progress through our Beta testing which we use to improve the app. We also intend to support more streaming services as well as podcasting.
